1. Who is advertising
This website is beverage-alcohol advertising, published by Hogshead Single Barrels LLC, McKinney, Texas. You can reach the responsible advertiser at info@tuskave.com.
Where a specific product is shown, its class and type (for example Añejo Tequila) and its alcohol content by volume are stated with it. Alcohol content is measured at bottling and rounded as permitted.
2. Alcohol and health
Nothing on this site should be read as a claim that tequila — ours or anyone's — is good for you. We make no curative, therapeutic, nutritional or health claim of any kind. References to purity, additive-free production, or a clean spirit describe how the tequila is made. They are not statements about its effect on your health.
The United States Government requires the following warning on the label of every alcoholic beverage sold in the country:
GOVERNMENT WARNING: (1) According to the Surgeon General, women should not drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy because of the risk of birth defects. (2) Consumption of alcoholic beverages impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery, and may cause health problems.
Please drink responsibly, and never drink and drive. If you would like information or help, responsibility.org is a good place to start. This site is intended only for those aged 21 and over.
3. What we make, and what we do not
We do not own or operate a distillery. Our tequila is produced for us in Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico by our partner distillery, registered under NOM 1634 and certified by the Consejo Regulador del Tequila (CRT) under the Mexican Official Standard NOM-006-SCFI-2012.
The pages describing extraction, fermentation, distillation, toasting, aging and bottling explain how tequila is made as a craft. They are educational. Except where a page says explicitly that this is our method, they are not a representation that we personally carry out that step, own that equipment, or use that particular technique.
Our locations are the places the business operates from. They are not a claim to own production facilities at any of them.
4. Casks are not an investment
We do not offer casks, bottles or collections as investments, and nothing here is financial, investment or tax advice. No offering of a security or investment contract is made on this site. We make no forecast or promise about future value, resale price, liquidity or return, and we operate no resale market, valuation service or buy-back arrangement.
Scarcity language on this site — that a cask is single-barrel, that a collection is not repeatable, that there is one owner each — describes what the product is. It is a statement about how the tequila was made and bottled, not a suggestion that it will become more valuable.
5. Availability, allocation and who sells to you
Tusk'ave is not the seller of alcohol. Where a cask or bottle can be bought on this site, the sale is made by a licensed retailer, who is the seller of record and fulfils the order. Sale and delivery are restricted by state and by country, so not everything shown here can be supplied to every address.
Availability shown here can be out of date between updates, and no cask is reserved for you until we confirm it in writing. Some products, strengths or presentations are not lawfully available in every state or country.
6. Tasting notes, images and figures
Tasting notes and the maestro's cask notes are honest subjective impressions of a spirit at a moment in time. Palates differ, and a single-barrel tequila varies from cask to cask by design — that is the point of it. Treat notes as description, not specification.
Photography, barrel illustrations and label previews are illustrative. Cask artwork on the inventory is generated from each cask's recorded data to help you read it at a glance; it is a diagram, not a photograph of that barrel. Colours vary between screens.
7. Accessibility
We want this site to be usable by everyone, and we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We have not had it formally audited, so some parts may fall short.
If any part of this site is difficult for you to use, please tell us at info@tuskave.com and we will help you directly and fix what we can.
8. California residents
Drinking distilled spirits, beer, coolers, wine and other alcoholic beverages may increase cancer risk, and, during pregnancy, can cause birth defects. For more information go to P65Warnings.ca.gov/alcohol.
