One terroir. The highlands of Los Altos.

Tusk'ave is made only from blue Weber agave grown in the highlands of Los Altos, Jalisco. We don't blend across regions. We commit to one.

Why the highlands

Los Altos sits high, in iron-rich red clay. Agave matures slowly here and grows larger, sweeter piñas, which is why highland tequila tends to taste fruit-forward, floral and round. A place you can taste.

High elevation

Slow maturity

Cool nights and bright days let the agave mature slowly and concentrate its sugars.

Iron-rich

Red clay soil

The deep-red highland earth feeds larger, plumper piñas with a mineral backbone.

Fruit-forward

Sweeter piñas

Highland agave is prized for its sweeter, more floral, rounded character.

Our growing partners

We work with highland partners who take quality and transparency seriously, and for whom additive-free is already in their DNA. What matters to us is not the size of an estate but what comes out of it.

Quality first

Fields managed for full maturity, so the piñas arrive with the sugar the spirit needs.

Additive-free by instinct

Not a box they tick for us. It is simply how they have always worked.

Open about their work

They will tell you what they did and how. Transparency is the price of entry.

A blanco that stands bare

What comes out of their process is top-tier unaged, which is the hardest test there is.

From their fields into our process

One origin, more than one road

A top-tier blanco is the starting point, not the finish. The distillery can take it down more than one road, and each leaves its own mark. Which one made your cask is recorded on its specification sheet.

Field to barrel

One region, known partners: every barrel traces its agave back to where it grew and how ripe it was. Not a marketing line. It is written into each barrel's specification sheet, yours to read when you choose a cask.

Then time takes over: aging
